European station coupon pricing policy update: effective from March 18th

On February 22nd, Amazon Europe announced that starting March 18, 2024, new price requirements for coupons will be introduced.

According to Amazon, the discount can be set at a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 80%. In addition, most products that want to set coupons need to have a transaction history, and the promotional price must be lower than the original price or the most recent lowest price.

If the price or discount of the product does not meet these new requirements, then the seller will not be able to successfully set up the coupon. There are three types of notifications that sellers may receive about coupon errors:

  • Questions related to price history
  • Increase the discount rate
  • Minimum/maximum discount related issues

The corresponding solutions to the above three kinds of errors are:

  • ASIN must have a sales record to set coupons.
  • The promotional price (available price – discount amount) must be lower than the original price or the most recent lowest price.
  • Update the coupon discount percentage so that it is between 95% and 50% off minimum.

Shopping unboxing has gradually become one of the most popular video types

On TikTok in the United States, shopping unboxing has gradually become one of the most popular video types, especially the shopping sharing of clothing and home goods, and these video content usually carries the hashtag “#haul”. To date, #haul has amassed 59.2 billion views on TikTok.

A study of TikTok’s 50 most-viewed clothing and home shopping sharing videos with the hashtag #haul found that Shein was the most mentioned brand in those videos, accounting for 42% of all video-shared items. The average cost per Shein item mentioned in these videos was $9.33.

According to the data, H&M is the second most mentioned brand in TikTok clothing and home shopping sharing videos, accounting for 8.2% of all shared items. Temu came in third, accounting for 7.7% of all shared items. Other brands mentioned most include Walmart (7.2 percent), Amazon Home (6.2 percent), CottonOn (4.1 percent), Ikea (3.6 percent), Brandy (2.6 percent), Zara (2.1 percent) and Australian interior design brand ma.debyc (1.5 percent).

Overall, among the 50 unboxing videos studied, clothing shopping shared videos were viewed more frequently than home-related videos. Walmart followed with 12%; CottonOn(7.4%), Brandy(4.6%) and Zara(3.7%) followed by Adidas, Amazon, Hollister and Mure and Grand each accounting for 1.9% of shared goods.

In the clothing shopping sharing video, tops were the most shared item, followed by bottoms, tailored pants or overalls were the most popular subcategory, and jeans were less mentioned. This trend shows that consumers are more inclined to buy comfortable, fitted items when buying clothing.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced a recall of a Chinese-made baby recliner

According to foreign media reports, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced a recall of a Chinese-made baby recliner due to choking, falling and clamping risks.

The recall involves baby recliners made of cloth covers, with foam sleeping MATS and padded bumpers. Baby recliners are sold in different printed fabrics and colors, including animals, blue stars, clouds, feathers, flowers, forests, leaves, pink stars, polar bears, and zoos. The label sewn on the inside of the bedspread reads “SLEEPING SET”.

The CPSC said that the recalled recliners have three defects: one is that they do not have a stand, and do not meet the side height and fabric side opening requirements; Second, the edge of the product is shorter than the minimum edge height limit; Third, the thickness of the sleeping bag exceeds the maximum limit, and the baby may fall out or become trapped through the closed opening at the bottom of the recliner, so the product does not meet the safety requirements of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Infant Sleep Products Rule.

Baby recliners manufactured on or after June 23, 2022 are included in the recall, totaling 4,140 units. The recalled baby reigns were sold exclusively on Amazon by Yoocaa Direct for between $30 and $55 with a sale date between January 2022 and May 2023.

The remedy for this recall is that Yoocaa Direct will provide refunds to purchasers. The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled baby recliners and contact Yoocaa Direct for a full refund.
